Amel Italia is a Social Promotion Association (APS) working in Italy and Lebanon, committed to social and climate justice.
Our team brings together professionals from different fields with complementary experience, united by the goal of promoting concrete and participatory action.
We place communities at the center of our work, supporting them in reclaiming their territories and strengthening their role as protagonists of just and inclusive climate and environmental action.
Our principles
Amel Italia fully upholds humanitarian principles and bases its actions on a “do no harm” approach, valuing human dignity and mutual respect.
Our compass follows a decolonial, intersectional, and ecofeminist direction, aiming for environmental, social, and gender justice.
We address environmental issues not only from an ecological perspective, but also by considering the interdependent dynamics of oppression and liberation.
Our policies to ensure full commitment to and respect for the association’s founding values are publicly available.
Amel International Network
We are part of the international network of Amel Association International, an organization with over 45 years of experience in Lebanon, France, and the United States. This affiliation gives us strong roots and access to a wealth of experience developed through hundreds of medical, educational, and community support projects in vulnerable and crisis-affected contexts.
